Heritage 13
After sitting and playing my own personal guitars, a Heritage Deluxe and a 000-12, I thought how interesting it would be to have something of a marriage between the two. A more comfortable dreadnought with some of the complex character that’s available in the 12th fret design. There already is the Roy Smeck slope shoulder dreadnought available through a number of builders, and that’s not what I had in mind. The location and size of the soundhole is something that I put great consideration into and I have created what I consider to be a beautiful balance with my Heritage 13 fret neck to body join. Having the neck sit only 15 mm closer to the body creates comfort and the repositioning of the X brace and bridge lends itself to a tonally rich new voice.
